YEAR IN REVIEW

2020 was a year like no other in modern history. It was a year of extraordinary challenges for each of you, for our team members, for this community, and for our organization, like so many others across the nation.

One hundred thirty-three years ago, in 1888, our founders had a vision for our health system. That vision was grounded in the belief that if we worked together with our community, we could transform healthcare in Greater Cincinnati. Now, in 2020 our team and our community has demonstrated how that vision is still alive and strong.

This past year, The Christ Hospital Health Network team members dedicated themselves to ensuring our community had access to the highest quality of healthcare offered, sometimes in new and different ways as a result of the pandemic, but all with the goal of making sure that our patients and the entire community were well cared for.

I am so very proud of our 6,500 team members, 1,200 physicians and 600 volunteers, who despite all obstacles and challenges, never wavered in giving much needed hope to patients, sometimes in their darkest moments. They have been collectively creative in their approaches to providing care, utilizing evolving science, cutting edge technologies, and transforming the way in which care was delivered almost overnight in many cases, in addition to taking on new roles never before contemplated.

Each of them has shown heroic dedication to this community and the care of every patient who reached out in their time of need.

Our 2020 annual report highlights these accomplishments and more.

I am proud to say that in 2020, just like the preceding 132 years, we achieved the vision of our founder, continuing to ensure that the Greater Cincinnati community has the finest healthcare possible… and we will continue to do so for many years to come.

I hope you enjoy this report.
